What this policy covers
Pet on Canvas ("we," "us," "our") operates petoncanvas.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or place an order, how we use it, and who we share it with. We keep this simple because we're a small art collective, not a data company.
Information we collect
Order information. When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, selected portrait option, selected style, pet name, and any special instructions you provide. Stripe processes the payment. We never see or store your card number.
Pet photos. You send reference photos by email or by sharing a file link. We use those photos only to create your portrait and communicate with you about the order.
Contact messages. If you contact us directly, we keep your name, email, and message so we can respond.
Website analytics. We may use Cloudflare's built-in analytics or Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic. These tools are used for basic page statistics, not cross-site ad tracking.
How we use your information

We do not sell your information, add you to marketing lists without permission, or share your pet photos outside the portrait creation process.
Third-party services
Stripe processes payments. When you check out, payment information goes directly to Stripe's secure servers. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
Cloudflare hosts the website, manages DNS, provides security services, and may provide aggregate website analytics.
Email and file storage are used to receive pet photos and order messages. Depending on how you send photos, this may include Gmail, Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud, or another file-sharing service you choose.
Portfolio use
We may display finished portraits in our public portfolio to showcase our work. We will never display your name, order details, or the original pet photo. If you'd prefer your portrait not appear in our portfolio, let us know when you place your order and we'll honor that request.
Data retention
We retain order information and email correspondence for up to 2 years to handle follow-up questions about your order. Pet photos are retained for 6 months after order completion to allow for revisions or reprint requests, then deleted where practical. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To do so, contact us at the address below. We'll respond within 30 days.
